＜JOB QUALIFICATIONS＞
- Ph.D. or Masters in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or another quantitative discipline.
- Experience in quantitative modelling techniques.
- Strong quantitative finance background, including familiarity with portfolio construction methodology as well as forecasting and statistical analysis methodology.
- Basic programming skills as well as familiarity with statistical analysis software (i.e. SAS, Matlab, Splus).
- Familiarity financial databases and tools such as Datastream, CRSP, Bloomberg, MSCI/BARRA, etc.
- Experience with the handling and analysis of large data sets.
- Familiarity with the theory of financial markets and investor behavior.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Candidates must have proficiency in either Japanese or English, and preference is given to those who can speak both languages. |

＜Overview＞
Active Equity Strategist position takes a key role with client communication both directly or indirectly through our distribution channels. The successful strategist can communicate with various clients through, typically, answers to questions both to support our client investment and contribute our business.
【Key responsibilities】
1.Promote and develop business relationship with mainly Japanese clients for both Japan and International Active Equity strategies.
2.Satisfy various clients needs timely, proactive, and sophisticated manner.
3.Promote and develop business relationship with both new and existing clients.
4.Co-work with other strategists.
5.Generate new and/or improvement ideas for our quantitative model of Japanese Active Equity Strategies.
6.Improve the disclosure and analysis of our investment performance, strategies fit and markets environment.
7.Generate concrete ideas of improvement in process of analysis, information sharing, and enhancing knowledge within the team.
8.Execute improvement plans agreed by team with leadership

＜Overview＞
1. Manage audit assignments inline with the annual audit plan (local and
Global) and BIA Audit methodology. Produce audit reports as the key output
from the assignment in line with BIA report writing framework.
2. Lead assigned resources and provide feedback on performance and liaise with business stakeholders both within and outside audit assignments.
3. Contribute to annual audit planning process and assist the Head of Audit in running the audit team.
【Key responsibilities】
1. Stakeholder relationship management – the role holder will be required to liaise with senior business leaders within our company and provide objective independent assurance over their control environment.
Additionally, on an ongoing business monitoring of key business information to maintain an up to date assessment of Audit need within each auditable entity.
2. Delivery of audits – the role holder will be assigned audits to manage which could be local, regional or global in nature.
3. Leadership of assigned resources during audits.
＜Key Experience Desired＞
- Qualified Accountant and/or Auditor e.g. CPA, CIA - essential
- JSDA - internal control/sales Manager/Internal Administrator qualifications
- desirable
- Deep local regulatory knowledge and experience e.g. JFSA, SESC, JSDA,
ITA, JSIAA requirements and understanding of the FIEL - essential
- Deep risk based internal audit skill set (gained from experience at Big
4 firm or other international top tier FS firm)
- Familiarity with IIA standards for internal audit
- Asset management experience and understanding (2 years+) - desirable
- Solid working knowledge of banking and asset management products, processes
and their associated risks and controls - essential
- International Experience with strong desire to work in dynamic international
firm - essential
- Self starter with excellent time and project management skills with experience
of leading and delivering complex audit assignments from planning to reporting
with minimal supervision - essential
- Articulate, credible individual with proven ability to liaise and build
